Sinopse
Sue decides to resurrect the school newspaper so she can spread false rumors around McKinley. Brittany tries to get Santana to come clean with her feelings, while Finn and Rachel stake out a motel to investigate whether Quinn is cheating on him.
The episode opens on Brittany's internet talk show, "Fondue for Two." Her first guests include Mercedes and Tina, who she's grilling for scoop. Brittany actually blurts out that Santana plays for a "different team," which shocks her glee club cohorts.
At school, Rachel approaches Sam to ask if he wants to go to prom together, but he tries to skirt her advances. "I don't think I'm going," he admits before adding, "You're just not my type."
Terri and Sue plan to go behind enemy lines, which is why the Cheerios coach is dressed incognito as David Bowie (and then as Ann Coulter). Sue reveals that she wants to revive the school newspaper, The Muckraker, where they don't confirm facts, just report straight rumors. Terri observes that Sue is always trying to destroy New Directions from the inside, whereas she suggest they get Will out of the glee club to destroy them.
Perfect timing, April Rhodes has returned! It turns out her all-white production of The Wiz failed miserably, so she's creating her own Broadway show, Crossroads: The April Rhodes story. She's returned to McKinley because she's low on funds and needs to borrow the auditorium she bought for Will.
Rachel asks Finn to sing a duet together, but he declines because he's dating Quinn. She retorts that Quinn doesn't care about his feelings and shows him proof: A rumor in The Muckraker that suggests Sam and Quinn have been secretly hooking up at a hotel. As Finn blows up on Sam, Santana yells at Brittany for saying she plays for a different team. Brittany just meant that she went from the Cheerios to the New Directions, but it's been construed a different way.
Will complains to April that there are so many rumors being thrown around on campus, and that they're destroying the glee club. April says they're suffering from "The Mac," comparing New Directions to Fleetwood Mac during the height of their internal strife between group members. Will decides to do Mac's album, "Rumours," as this week's lesson, and kicks it off by singing "Dreams," which was written as the band was breaking apart in an attempt to keep them together. Will asks them to each choose a song and put their own spin on it.
Artie confronts Brittany on what's going on between her and Santana. She says that her relationship with Santana doesn't count as cheating — at least, that's what Santana says — which leads Artie to blurt out, "God, Brittany, why are you so stupid?" She rushes off in tears because — until now -- he was the only person who had never called her that. Artie begins to sing "Never Going Back Again," as Puck, Sam, Finn and others join in on guitars.
Outside the infamous motel, Finn and Rachel are on a stakeout in order to catch Quinn and Sam in the act. Rachel says she doesn't understand why Finn and Quinn got back together if he's never really trusted her. Just then, Finn sees Sam exit the motel room ... with Kurt! Finn is shocked, thinking Kurt is cheating on Blaine with Sam.
Santana decides to privately express her feelings to Brittany by singing "Songbird." Brittany ponders why Santana couldn't just sing that in front of the club, but Santana isn't ready to come out publicly. Brittany suggests Santana be her next guest on "Fondue for Two," where Brittany will ask her to prom and all Santana needs to do is say yes.
After Rachel begs Kurt not to cheat on Blaine, she and Finn go on another stakeout. He admits that Quinn has always been so protective of her feelings, whereas Rachel had been very open about her own. Sam exits the hotel room again ... with Quinn this time, and Finn is crushed.
Brittany decides to become a hard-hitting journalist, so she joins The Muckraker. Her first interview is with Will, but the questions become excessively inappropriate and eventually lead to speculation that he's leaving New Directions. He confronts Sue why she's spreading rumors, and she merely replies that he could actually go to New York. She's really just trying to get rid of him.
The latest edition of The Muckraker has photos of Finn and Rachel cosy together on the stakeout, which angers Quinn. After an intense fight, Quinn and Finn decide they just need to trust each other, so they sing, "I Don't Want to Know," but they don't seem into it at all. Rachel suggests Finn would be better off doing duets with her, but Quinn retorts that if he wants to keep dating, he's no longer allowed to sing with Rachel.
Emma spies April and Will practicing for the musical in the auditorium, where April asks Will to come to Broadway with her, but he wants to focus on getting the kids to Nationals. Later, Emma admits she's been taking her OCD medication and it's really helped her germ phobia. She tells Will that he, too, should take a chance and think about going to Broadway with April.
Rachel decides to do her own interpretation of "Go Your Own Way," with a feminine twist. She still manages to do a song with Finn since he's playing the drums. A fight erupts in the rehearsal room, forcing Sam to reveal that the motel is actually his new home. His father lost his job and the house, so they've been living there.
Sue celebrates with April and Terri over drinks. Wait, what? It turns out, Terri had asked April to come back to McKinley to get Will to leave and go on Broadway. While it sounds malicious, April just thought Terri was doing what was best for Will. Sue says the next Muckraker will reveal Will's plans to leave, which will then make it actually come to fruition.
Rachel and Finn decide to visit Sam at the motel, where he says he'll likely have to drop out of glee club. His family is doing so badly, he's had to sell his guitar, which New Directions secretly bought back. Sam is overwhelmed by their generosity, and Rachel says they'll do anything they can to support him so he can stay in the club.
Sadly for Brittany, Santana decided not to show up for "Fondue for Two," and is called out by Jacob for planting fake rumors about her and Karofsky. In front of Brittany, Santana reveals that she's in love with Karofsky. Aww, can't these two kids make it work?
The Muckraker hits stands and the club questions whether Will will leave them for Broadway, but he insists he'll be there to take them to Nationals. The episode closes on Sam leading the group in "Don't Stop."
